site: operator works with subdirectory website
A brief note.
site:Operator in Google search issue was talked in Indexing timeline (May 16,2006), Aun update on the site: operator, Another update on the site: operator.
But, one of difference in use of site: I’ve seen is (if I’m not wrong with my memory), site: operator now works with urls with subdirectory, as the Google Sitemaps got more function [ Get more from the latest release ] and we can see query stats by subdirectory base websites (at the beginning we could see only them in root website url.
Even this is a way of analyzing only, but at least we can see how many pages are indexed by Google easily and specificaly by subdirectory.
Search option AdSense by a subdirectory type website base search would be available theoretically, but AdSense does not allow such option with subdirectory but only domain base search.
Yahoo! does not support site: operator with subdirectory base website search (url with “/”).
